How to merge CSV files online in 3 steps

1

Add your CSV files

Drag and drop two or more CSV files into the box above, or click it to choose files from your computer.

2

Arrange the order

Drag files up or down in the list. Rows are written to the merged file in that order.

3

Merge and download

Click Merge. The combined file downloads as merge_YYYY-MM-DD.csv, ready for Excel, Google Sheets, or your CRM.

How columns are combined

Files are merged by header name, not by column position. Every column that appears in any file is kept, matching columns are lined up automatically, and a cell is left blank when a file doesn't have that column.

Common use cases

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge multiple CSV files into one?

Add at least two CSV files to the box above, drag them into the order you want, and click Merge. A single combined file named merge_YYYY-MM-DD.csv downloads automatically.

Is it safe? Are my files uploaded to a server?

No files are uploaded. The CSV files are read and merged entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your computer.

What happens if my CSV files have different columns?

Columns are matched by their header name. The merged file contains every column found in any of the files, and cells are left empty where a file did not have that column.

Can I change the order of the files before merging?

Yes. Drag the files up or down in the list. Rows are written to the merged file in that order.

Does it remove duplicate rows?

No. Every row from every file is kept as it is. If you need to remove duplicates, do it in a spreadsheet after merging.

Is there a file size or file count limit?

There is no fixed limit. Because everything runs in your browser, very large files are limited by your computer's memory and may take longer to process.

Can I merge Excel (XLSX) files too?

This tool accepts CSV files only. Save your Excel sheets as CSV first, then merge them here.

How do I combine CSV files in Excel or with a command line?

In Excel, use Data > Get Data > From File > From Folder, then choose Combine. On macOS or Linux, for files with identical headers you can run: head -n 1 first.csv > merged.txt && tail -n +2 -q part*.csv >> merged.txt
